The hotel is falling apart. The noise from the construction outside and construction crews picking up the debris will regularly wake us up at 2 AM! This happened everyday. There's no free internet! ( contrary to what the hotel advertise) there are two ancient computers in the lobby and you have to buy a ticket with a password it coast 10 pesos for 30 minutes U$ 2.50.If you use the internet for only one minute your password expires!.Breakfast is very basic. The worst part is the very rude staff. After five nights at the hotel, one evening at around 11 PM, a young and very impertinent clerk by the name of Pedrito Falzone insisted that I had to pay half of the hotel bill.I said that I was checking out in two days and that the Regente Palace had an imprint of my credit card.I also said that this was totally inappropriate and that in 40 years of travelling through the world this had never happened to me before!. The very rude Pedrito insisted in a very insolent matter.Of course the next morning I paid the bill and my wife and I moved to another hotel right in the same block ( the Bisonte, which I truly recommend ) Of course I told the staff at the front desk of the Regente Palace why I was leaving earlier and what a horrible experience was to stay in their hotel. I also stated that since we, american tourist pay a very inflated rate in dollars ( we pay 40 % more that argentines at the hotels ) and always with a major credit card as security for the full stay, what had happened the night before was totally inappropriate. They could not answer, nor did they offered a reasonable explanation. Please make yourself a great favor and stay away and far of this crummy Regent Palace, which has very little of a palace!! Carlos Franzetti

The location was great.
The key cards to open the room had to be recoded everyday. I would suggest trying to fix that, it was very frustrating. We also expected an executive double room to be bigger.
